The DMetrix product includes an ultra-rapid, fully automated digital slide
scanning instrument: The DMetrix DX-40 scanner is based on our exclusive
array-microscope technology and can image 40 slides/hour.
The DMetrix product also includes a suite of software tools that make digital
pathology quick to adopt and practical in the long term. For those customers
who have already invested in imaging, DMetrix has an answer as well. Our
software tools enable a combination of your favored image-management
solution and simple, ultra-rapid image capture with the DMetrix DX-40 scanner.

DMetrix slipstream® slide loader
Our slide loader is a unique patented solution
(US Patent 6,905,300)
for rapidly transporting microscope slides to the DX-40
slide scanner. Slides are first organized in magazines
that each store 40 slides. The slipstream® system
lifts each slide and transports it to the slide scanner
on a cushion of air. Then the slide is lowered gently
onto a precision stage for identification and imaging.
Once imaging is completed, the slide is returned to
the magazine by the same air-lift process.
The slipstream® loader does not damage slides and
does not interfere with image quality.
